2024 CWAJHAA & Zone Champions

On October 24, 2024, the Grade 9 Cross Country Runners competed in the CWAJHAA race near Rocky Mountain House. Thurber had 24 runners, with many top place finishers. The 9's came home golden with the CWAJHAA banner! These Raiders had top 10 finishes from Grace Wright (2nd), Reese Moborg (3rd), Isabelle Bredo (5th), Angelina Bennett (7th), Sam Judd (6th), Jaxson Williams (8th), and Aidan Milner (10th). 

The grade 10-12 cross country runners competed in Zones in Camrose. The Raiders came away with the title of Zone Champions for another year! 

The team earned top place finishes in the following categories: 

 Finn McKinnon - 1st place (Jr Boys)
Taha Zarhmoul - 2nd place (Jr Boys)

Naomi Schmitt - 2nd place (Int Girls) Amelia Roberts - 3rd Place (Sr Girls)

Noah Hoffart - 3rd place (Sr boys)

20 Thurber runners qualified for the Provincial Championships in Grande Prairie October 18-19, 2024.
